Coaching at East Bentleigh Soccer Club
Have you considered coaching a team?
The club has a variety of coaches within its ranks. Former and current players, community pathway and professionally qualified coaches, parents with a coaching background in other sports or just active mums or dads who are eager to learn and looking for a challenge and the opportunity to share a positive, enjoyable and rewarding experience with their son or daughter.
We have a variety of teams from advanced, intermediate and beginners.
In terms of coaching, we don't drop you in the deep end. We will teach you how to run an effective training session. We offer extensive coaching support in the form of in-house coaching workshops and training sessions facilitated by external soccer academies for you and your team. We can arrange for an existing coach to help you get started. We reimburse FA coaching courses. We provide you with drills and learning materials.
We need you to succeed so that our players enjoy the experience.
Coaching support and development:
Coach the Coach workshops run by professional soccer academies.
All sub-junior teams receive multiple training sessions run by professional soccer academies. These practical sessions are designed to teach coaches how to correctly structure and run a session by applying the skills acquired from their workshops.
All coaches receive access to a comprehensive coaching manual with an extensive library of drills and activities.
The club provides dedicated goalkeeper training for eligible age groups.
Completing formal Football Australia training courses is preferred but not essential. However, for those that are interested, the club can arrange to run these courses at our pavilion. All course fees are reimbursed by the club (FA Community Pathway courses).
All coaches are eligible for an end of season rebate.
All coaches receive a discount on EBSC tracksuit jackets.
All training equipment is provided by the club.
It is a mandatory requirement for all coaches to complete a Working With Children Check.
