EBSC Refund Policy
It is important that you understand the Club’s refund policy before paying your fees.
Despite
the exceptional circumstances of 2020, EBSC was one of only a handful
of clubs in Victoria to offer members a full refund or rollover of their
fees. A substantial financial loss was incurred as a result.
Football
Victoria (FV) have confirmed that clubs will be charged for the season, irrespective of whether or not the season is cancelled or
interrupted. FV have published their 2022 refund policy. We expect that
FV will adopt the same position moving forward for 2022 and beyond.
Given
the above circumstances and taking into account that we have been
living with Covid-19 for some time now, we are all better informed and
aware of the risks and potential impact to community sport.
Unfortunately, the Club will NOT be able to offer members a full refund if the season is cancelled or interrupted.
A partial refund will be available, based on the proportion of the season completed.
Please
remember that we are a volunteer run, not-for-profit community sports
club and that our fees are very affordable in comparison to other soccer
clubs.
Registration
Fee Refunds
Any player who is not offered a place in a team for the
upcoming season will receive a full refund of fees.
Any player who is offered a place in a team and declines
that offer prior to completing their PlayFootball player registration for the
upcoming season will receive a full refund of fees.
Any player who is offered a place in a team and declines that
offer after completing their PlayFootball player registration for the upcoming
season will be entitled to a partial refund of fees.
Any player who is offered a place in a team and accepts that
offer but departs the Club after the season has commenced will not be entitled
to a refund of fees.
Requests for refunds due to extenuating circumstances will
be at the discretion of the Club.
If the season is cancelled or interrupted due to Covid-19 restrictions, and
less than 50% of the season has been completed, a partial
refund will be calculated based on the proportion of the season completed. No
refund will be available if 50% or more of the season is completed.
Fees will not be reduced for interruptions to
the season due to short term Covid-19 lockdowns.
Partial
Refund – Method of Calculation
The formula for calculating a partial refund of fees will be
as follows:
EBSC player registration
fee paid, less the PlayFootball player registration fee, less the applicable
portion of the FV team registration fee, less the cost of the uniform, less the
variable cost for the number of weeks completed for the season.

All costs are GST inclusive.

Uniform returns will not be accepted.
·
We will delay PlayFootball player registrations
and the distribution of uniforms for as long as we can to protect member funds.
